Wedding Rings and Vows

Wedding rings and vows, sometimes it feels like an identity. It used to mean something to me, this gold wrapped around my finger, does it still?? Who am I without you? I think I’ve lost me a bit along the way. I am trying to find my way back to that crazy girl, the one who set the trees on fire with a glance. I know she’s in here, somewhere…the one with strength running through her veins and that fuck you look in her eyes. I was so different then. How did I lose it? Now I feel like a flower, wilted and soft. I don’t stand tall, I bow my head and fear my voice.

When I look in the mirror, I see your face beside mine. We have become one and the same. I might go away for a while my love, just to find myself but I promise I’ll be back…
