Haunted

Can you feel me when you breathe
I’m in your heart
I’ve always been there
Waiting in the darkness you have
Trying to make it light again
Do I haunt you the way you haunt me
Or am I alone in this?
Always wondering what could have been
How can I be happy and sad at the same time??
You were the first to see my soul before it was corrupted and dark
The first to feel my love, unfiltered and raw
Remember me always like that
Young and naive in my love for you
Simple-minded and not yet jaded by this world
And I’ll always keep a piece of you with me
