What I’ve learned since being 30

  1. It’s okay to say no for any reason
  2. Take time for yourself
  3. Wear sunscreen
  4. No seriously, wear sunscreen
  5. Spend more time in nature
  6. Animals are essential to happiness
  7. Your mom loves you more than you can ever know
  8. Find a husband that makes you laugh and turns you on and he’ll become your best friend
  9. Keep up on technology, it’s the future
  10. Smile at strangers
  11. Treat people more kindly
  12. Love unconditionally or not at all
  13. Save plastic bags, they’re very useful
  14. You’ll buy a lot more Tupperware than you ever thought as you get older
  15. New appliances are awesome
  16. Get oil changes regularly
  17. Live comfortably but not exorbitantly no matter what you make, money really doesn’t buy happiness
  18. Unplug at least once a week, no tech, no social media. Read, draw, play a game do something with your mind!
  19. Read more books
  20. Broaden your music library, listen to things you might not like, you never know what you’ll find
  21. Pray more
  22. Lastly, don’t take anything for granted
