Glass box

I feel like I’m stuck in a glass box
I just want to scream high enough to shatter it around me
I know it’ll cut my skin
But I no longer care
I’m tired of being silent
Does it make you uncomfortable to watch me bleed?
Too bad
I won’t cover up my wounds one more second
I have the power not to remain silent
So other girls and women will know
They don’t need to be silent either
So scream at the top of your lungs
Fight with fury
Cry and rip at your clothing with madness in your eyes if you must
Stomp your feet
Raise your voice to the blackened skies
Let yourself bleed
But for the love of God
Do not be silenced by this world for one moment more
