When I started this blog I wanted to make it about my own experiences but also a learning platform. I wanted to include research, studies, articles, etc. As its evolved I’ve found it more therapeutic to just write about what I’m feeling at the time that it strikes me. Whether that be a poem, a story, a personal life experience, or something else.
I’ve noticed when I try and read blogs that are geared more towards educational information I personally get a bit bored. It feels like they’re missing soul. I can read about my diagnosis all day. I know that it fits me. I know in my heart that, yes, I’m bipolar, but that doesn’t bring me comfort.
Reading about someone else’s day, whether good or bad, about their struggles with medications or doctor visits, about their pain and triumphs-thats what helps me. So I hope thats what helps all of you too. Because I’m steering away from being the kind of blog that just spews information and data and I’m just going to keep sharing my thoughts and experiences. Hopefully that’s what you all want. Leave me a comment if you have any thoughts or suggestions
xoxo Jasmine
