Reach

I need him

That connection

But I know I won’t reach for him tonight

Even though I should

It’s too hard to pull him close

To say all the things in my head

All my uncertainties are consuming me right now

I won’t reach for him

Even though I should

I’ll cry in silence while he’s sleeping

Feeling more lonely than ever

Longing for sleep, drained and exhausted

I’ll second guess every decision I’ve made

And wonder what I’m doing with my life

I’ll question my happiness and my sanity

I won’t reach for him

Even though I should.
