Portrait

Portrait

If I could keep a portrait of you
permanently etched into my mind
I would carry you with me
our love was a seed
long forgotten
until rainwater and flood
created a bud
and it has bloomed so extravagantly now
that we are a whole garden, my love
one bigger than there ever was.
