Everything is black
Black like the night sky
Dark like the eyes of a wild animal
Thick like honey
A black stillness is in my soul today
The blackness is sucking me down into it.
Making me search for light
Reaching for something I cannot see
But I can feel it, pulling on me
Taking me in a direction I don’t yet know
And I’m black inside
Raw and decaying
Feeling this sheet of blackness weighing on my shoulders
All I see is black. And all I feel is black.
And then there is red.
